High School Proms & Acetate: a natural fit of comfortable good times and beautiful dresses

High School proms have a long tradition in the United States: The first proms were held in the 1920s. By the 1930s, proms became popular across the country. Then proms were modest, homegrown affairs in high school gyms where boys wore jackets and a tie and girls wore their best dress.
After the 1980s, high school proms became a more serious event with boys renting luxurious tuxedos and with girls attired in beautiful party dresses and even some designer gowns. Still today for many young ladies the annual prom is the highlight of their high school years. And one of the main elements is to find the right dress for the evening.
The average teen will try on 33 dresses before she finds the right dress for the prom!

Again for this year's proms, thousands of party dresses made out of beautiful, luxurious, brightly colored acetate fabrics were sold. Made from a source as natural as cellulose, dresses of acetate filament yarn ensure

a comfortable fit throughout the evening. Dresses lined with fabrics of acetate move with the body, ensuring that all the latest dance steps are performed in maximum comfort. Fabrics of natural acetate do not have static cling, as do fabrics of synthetics such as polyester and other fibers. Also, natural acetate has the ability to be dyed in a wide range of bright, beautiful unique colors that you can’t get from any other fiber.

In many of these prom dresses you will find velvets of natural acetate. Velvets made of acetate have an unmatched luxurious hand and are available in a wide pallet of rich colors, all making velvets of acetate a class act!

Cool, comfortable acetate takes center-stage at the Soccer World Cup in Germany

This summer will be dominated by one topic: the FIFA World Cup in Germany. Soccer fans from all around the world will be following the event and there will be plenty of gatherings and celebrations linked to goals and victories – this is where acetate fits in!

In June/July all forecasts point out that very high temperatures are to be expected. Suits/ pants lined

with natural acetate fabrics and blouses of acetate will give the wearer that comfortable feeling that you need to celebrate your team’s achievements on the steamy pitch. Wearers will be much more comfortable in clothing either lined with acetate or made of fabrics of acetate than any other commonly available lining. Linings made out of acetate allow the garments to ‘breathe’, by providing a moisture absorptive layer, they provide a barrier for perspiration and body oil and feel light and soft to the skin. Acetate is the perfect fiber to make the wearer feel comfortable at every occasion. Wearers will wonder why they are so comfortable wearing your brand of apparel, but you will know it is because you selected linings and fabrics of natural acetate!
