later revived in the 30s.
Foresight is everything in the world of fashion. Acetateworld
reveals the three trend lines anticipated for the 2005/2006
Fall / Winter collections.
Baroque is blended with the art of surrealism offering jacquard
and damask, brocades and ethnic fabrics with the glittering
glamour of the thirties. Colors range from new shades of pink
to brown, balancing green tones and mixing with different
colors to give a tweed-like impression. The glossy flashes
on the full opaque give a new meaning to shine and satin effects
in the fabrics.
Nature as a source of inspiration is reconfirmed in the Fall
Winter 2005/2006 season. The colors present authentic shades
of sheep fleece. A smooth look with soft tones and undertones
throughout. The fabrics take on the appearance of wads of
cotton with scratched surfaces and embroidered tangles. Sheer
and super-light fabrics that become padded and voluminous
for the winter.
A daring extravagance marks this new collection. Color flashes
will bring life to sober half tones. Classic fabrics dry and
clean will develop micro-drawings and an illusion of unity.
Decoration looks like trimmings, taking inspiration from modern
art. Lines and stripes go from the most simple to the triumph
of ethnic. Material becomes experimental, with chrome and
electronic shine.
