It's Summer 2004 and the eyes of the world will soon be on sports in Athens, Greece, and travel to and from the events in that city.

Travelers and the sports-minded people alike will be searching for clothes that are comfortable, lightweight, perform well, and most important, are BREATHABLE.

That's where acetate fits in!

Casual clothes of l00 percent acetate and acetate-blended fabrics tend to be light, silk-like, feel soft to the skin and let air breathe in! Acetate is the perfect fiber for packing, traveling and for attending a myriad of different events, whether one is inside or outdoors.

In an article in the June 24,2004, SEATTLE INTELLIGENCER newspaper in the USA, Georgia Shonk-Simmons, president and chief merchandising officer of the prestigious Coldwater Creek Stores in the U.S. said,

"For anyone who travels, I favor a different fabric -- a "travel knit" blend of acetate and spandex. It's great for working women too. I call this travel knit "the No. 1 fabric for easy care."

And there are lots of other types of acetate blends that receive accolades such as that of Ms. Shonk-Simmons. In these days of constant travel, moving from one environment to the other, and from warmer temperatures to indoor air conditioning...these are all things to think about when one is selecting a wardrobe of acetate to travel to Greece and other places this summer!
