Care Instructions
The following information gives care instructions for garments containing acetate
yarns.However, such garments often contain fabrics containing other generic fibre
types and care instructions should be amended accordingly to take these into account.
Washing
Unless otherwise indicated, fabrics in acetate yarns can be machine washed
in aqueous media using the "Wash as Synthetics" programme.This is a 40°C wash
with reduced mechanical action, rinsing with cooling and reduced spin speed. Alternatively,
garments may be given a "Hand wash" at 40°C maximum; "Do not wring"; "Do not twist";"Do
not bleach".
Dry cleaning
Fabrics which are unsuitable for aqueous washing should be dry cleaned in tetrachloroethylene(perchloroethylene)
with reduced water addition and reduced mechanical action. Trichloroethylene should
not be used as dry cleaning agent.
